Hunger is a serious human need. It is crucial to eat each day and to have a well-balanced diet in order to grow normally, have energy and enjoy overall good health. To go without a meal or food for a day leads to hunger pains and weakness and eventually leads to deficiency diseases.
Hunger is not only an affliction of the poor, but also the victims of natural disasters, those unable to work, the oppressed and the displaced.
We cannot feed our whole city, but we can attempt to feed a few thousand…
The food drive takes place in Mumbai city limits. Minimum 450 people are fed every week.
Along with this seva, Kindred Foundation also gives ration kits monthly to 70 – 80 families below poverty line, whose children are undergoing treatment for cancer or are suffering from autism.
